The football season is well underway and it has been a tough start for Will and his team Cheltenham Town in League One, but he and his teammates are rolling their sleeves up and battling to get better results.
Our new school at Bolton led by Tom Street has gotten off to a great start and this complements our schools across Rochdale. Both Tom Street and Tom Feighan will be working on exciting new activities and also some further competitions before the end of the year.
We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce the next phase in our expansion, with the opening of our new soccer school in Stockport and Wythenshawe. This time the school will have two new head coaches – Liam Conway and Billy Whitehouse – double the talent and experience!
Liam is a very experienced coach and is well known in the area for his delivery with primary school aged children.
Billy brings some exciting playing experience to Stockport - he is an English professional footballer currently playing for Chorley FC. Coming through the academy at Doncaster Rovers, Billy went on to play for Leeds United, Tadcaster Albion and The New Saints, before hitting a milestone 100 appearances for Chorley FC.
As a tricky skilful winger, who can use both feet, always looking to create chances and has immense skill, Billy maintains his work ethic, attitude and mentality at a professional level. Billy feels WFSS can be the perfect way for children to find enjoyment in football and allow him to pass his knowledge and experience on to children within the community.
We will be looking to create some new coaching content with Will and Billy before the end of the year and would love to include some of our children from the three areas we are delivering. Keep your eyes peeled for the opportunity to join in with filming.
The first part of the filming is likely to take place at the launch event for Stockport, as both Will and Billy will be present, on Sunday the 29th of October.
